Trendy Beach Clubs Come to Estepona

The trend of luxury beach clubs that spread from Puerto Banús all the way to Elviria and beyond has now also reached Estepona in earnest. There is already a great selection of classic beachside venues along the shoreline from Guadalmina (near San Pedro Alcántara) to the New Golden Mile – including favourites such as Heaven and Sonora Beach, not to mention Puro Beach in Laguna Village – but now the trend has hit Estepona town too.

The large, sandy beach fronting much of the Estepona has long offered a very laid-back atmosphere popular with those who enjoy a more authentic, toned-down seaside experience. As in many town beach areas it is possible to skip across the main boulevard for a light snack or traditional meal. There you can enjoy the shaded relief of a cool little square or terrace, while the beach itself offers a mix of beachside ‘chiringuito’ bars and fish restaurants.

To be fair, there have been beach clubs here for some time, but original ones like Palm Beach at the entrance to the town have a laid-back cabana feel that makes them seem more like a large chiringuito, while Bikini Beach – a little further along – already offers the hippie chic atmosphere of an upmarket Tarifa venue. Now, however, the number of options is growing, with the addition of two new Estepona beach clubs.

The first of these is the Bronzzana Sun Club. This trendy beach club is situated right on sandy shore not far from the Carrefour supermarket, on the stretch of coastline roughly between Laguna Village and Estepona beach. Popular with a good mix of Spanish and foreign guests, it has already become a favourite cool-hip venue that offers cocktails, sunbeds, infinity pool, live music and delicious food in a fantastic beachside setting.

Claro Beach, on the other hand, is the latest addition to Laguna Village. This tropically inspired chic little beachside mall is already home to popular beach clubs like Puro Beach and restaurants such as Camurí, where you can lunch or dine right beside the sand. Laid-back and easy-going where Puro Beach is closer in vibe to Ocean Club or Nikki Beach, Claro Beach is small and intimate – the ideal spot to relax if you’re not into ‘seeing and being seen’ but simply want to chill by the beach.

With these latest additions to its seaside scene, Estepona is fast becoming a beach club destination in its own right, so if you would like to know more about properties for sale in Estepona, please contact Altavista Properties.
